The biggest perk of my job is, of course, to be able to travel, discover music, cultures, and people I normally wouldn't have the chance to interact with. Perhaps, nowhere in the world is there a city that sits at the intersection of history quite like New Orleans does.

I had the distinct pleasure of traveling to the Crescent City to attend the annual Special Event trade show and conference. It was an incredibly moving and inspiring 3 days. In between all the sessions, I got to wander the beautiful streets, Shazam songs in every bar I walked into and chat with every Lyft driver. It gave me a chance to truly tug at the fabric of this multi-layered metropolis. 

Good thing for technology, because I added all my discoveries to my Travel Playlist on Spotify. Discovering artists like Esther Rose, Lou Donaldson, and The Teskey Brothers. Reminiscing to old favorites by Kermit Ruffins, Edith Piaf, Benny Goodman, and Junius Meyvant. It all made perfect sense in the confines of this incredible city. A city so much filled with warmth and joy.
