Some Moments Are Created Spontaneously (Spoiler: They're The Best Kind)
I took a trip to Secrets Playa Mujeres in Cancun, Mexico last week. The task was simple. Arrive. Take a nap. Change. Rock the destination wedding of Sonya and Jonathan. Get on the plane and fly back home. Simple right?
Sometimes when everything goes according to plan you get thrown an unpredictable curve ball. This time, the curve ball came in the form of air conditioning that just could not handle a lot of dancing bodies. The staff of Secrets and I did not panic. The bride suggested we move the party outside, where there was a lovely breeze. As they say, the rest is history.
The waiters, the sound engineers and the event planner all assisted in moving our full sound set up outside, along with setting up a bar and furniture outside where all the guests danced until 2am.
